Thanks for liking my page and site – Lbeth, hang around for a while and you might learn more than you did growing up with me plus the last 25+ years. (oops, I almost told your age)

I found you from a link in lbeth’s blog. Glad I found you. I also am a former school teacher but only stayed with it for 11 years.

Glad you found me too! Lbeth and I have hung around together for a lifetime (think I’ll stick it out :). Did you enjoy your teaching years? I loved teaching, and now I’m just in a different kind of classroom. I look forward to our following each other now… Thanks

Thanks for joining me. I spend a considerable amount of time cleaning cobwebs out of parts of my brain that have collected and are brainstorming now. Let’s have virtual tea together one day and share.

I’m all in…but it’s coffee or a glass of wine for me (the glass of wine is a later-life phenomena for me…and a consequence of living in wine country!)

Oooh! Then let’s choose a virtual vintage bottle of the finest available — Old World or local grower! My treat this time!

I’m bowing at the waist (facing you, of course;) Thanks to God for the monumental pile of garbage that I’ve waded through to find that content. After I’ve shaken off the mold, rust, and sticky stuff there’s some pretty good stuff left. Lol

Thank you Mr. Cox, the pleasure is mine as well. Are you a WWII enthusiast, or goodness me – could you be a vet? My father
served in the South Pacific, but he shared very little about his experiences.

No, my being a vet is the one time my father put his foot down about! I was in Nam for a very short period, press pass. Should you find anything or remember anything about your father – feel free to add it into the comments. Quite a few of my readers already have, it makes the site more of a group effort.

Thanks… there is one amazing story of the time, as a young sailor my deathly ill dad got left behind on a tiny South Seas tropical island. I’ll check with my mom on some details.
