Many of you are familiar with lbeth’s stories and writings. Her husband Bud is evidently a ‘closet’ poet and captured these beautiful thoughts in a poignant piece that has touched my heart for many years. I first saw it as an insert for the memorial service for my teenage son, and it touched the depths of my soul.
To try to control beauty or love is to squash its very essence.

I cannot imagine how that must have been. I did not know about that tragedy. I am so sorry! But I can imagene that the poem helped moving on a little.

Erika, the surprise of the poem that so beautifully addressed the shock, helped to moderate the pain and give a different perspective. Girl, what a journey…and we signed on for this?! 😉

This poem was a great reminder for me about clinging and ‘holding on’ when in fact, by the very act of doing so, it causes us to lose the beauty and essence of “the moment”. Thanks for sharing.

Oh this is so beautiful. This really touched me- We releases butterflies at my daughters service and whenever I see them flying around I always feel like it’s my little girl checking in. Thank you so much for sharing ❤️
